"My Prelim Examination"

You Raise Me Up

Lyrics JOSH GROBAN Song

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;

When troubles come and my heart burdened be;

Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,

Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;

You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;

I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;

You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;

You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;

I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;

You raise me up: To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;

Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;

But when you come and I am filled with wonder,

Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountain

My Interpretation

  • Even in times of trouble we should stop for awhile and take God to resume

  • We become more stronger than being dependent to our strength

  • Our life are full of challenges that sometimes make us fall, but we need Him to rise again

  • God can make us more stronger than we could, more than other things can give when we stay on Him steadfastly

The effect of the song to me

  1. It makes remembering the power of God's presence

  2. It makes me sang when I'm afraid

  3. Temptations have its containers in order for me to keep them in control
